Inductive Automotive Sensors Span a Range of Options
KSR uses two main non-contacting sensing technologies, in addition to the contacting technology. Nearly 20 global customers utilize KSR’s proprietary inductive design for non-contacting automotive position sensor applications with less than 150 degrees of rotation and linear applications.
Inductive sensing is in production for all Contactless Throttle pedal applications (including Ford & Fiat). Key features include:
- Immunity to magnetic field sources (actuators, alternators, etc.).
- Immunity to magnetic material supply issues.
- Robustness to wear/changes over time (corrosion included).
- Robustness to mechanical offsets (multi-pole designs)
KSR technologies allow us to span the full range of sensing, packaging environments and output options. The entire lifecycle of automotive sensor design, engineering, testing and manufacturing is done exclusively at KSR facilities.
